Grace E. Kim is a partner in the firm’s Chemical Patent Prosecution practice group, focusing on patent preparation and prosecution for domestic and international clients in a wide range of technical areas, including biotechnology, catalysis, chemical separation processes, cosmetics, dyes, glass products, imaging devices, light-emitting materials, metallurgy, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, plastics, polymers, and semiconductors.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kim was a junior chemist at Enzo Life Sciences synthesizing and purifying organic small molecule compounds and modified nucleotides. Ms. Kim performed extensive quality control on chemical products, including method development and optimization of drug candidates, drug metabolites, enzyme inhibitors, natural products, receptor ligands, lipids and fatty acids. 

During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Kim was a research intern working on the development of new strategies for the synthesis of organic molecules related to organic and medicinal chemistry.
